Dress Code

Resort Formal / Barefoot Cocktail

What does that actually mean, you ask? Okay, we made it up. But here’s what we’re thinking…

The most important thing is comfort — we’re in the tropics, so it will be warm and humid. Think light, breathable fabrics that feel dressed up, festive and wedding-worthy, but still comfortable to go from afternoon ceremony to late-night dance floor. The wedding will be entirely outdoors, on grass and right by the beach, so shoes are completely optional.

This is definitely not a casual affair though — we’d love to see you dress up, have fun with it and show up with a little funky flair. Colour, print, sparkle and personality are all very much encouraged.

Ladies: think flowy dresses, playful prints, tropical colours, sparkles aplenty — flats, sandals or wedges if you choose shoes. Basically, anything lawn-friendly.

Gents: think lightweight pants or dress shorts, linen shirts, relaxed tailoring, resort-style sets and absolutely no need for a fancy tie. Don’t be colour shy!

II

Transport

More details on transport for offsite guests needing assistance will be arranged closer to the date, once we have a clearer idea of who will need it and where everyone is staying. See our F.A.Q page for more information on getting around Samui in general.

III

Children

We love your bubs and absolutely want them to be part of our special day. However, we lovingly ask that the ceremony itself be a quiet, distraction-free moment. Children are very welcome to join the reception celebrations immediately after the ceremony.

We’ll include more information in the FAQs about local babysitting and childcare options for anyone who would like support during the ceremony or later in the evening.

A Note on Gifts

Your presence in Thailand is genuinely the biggest gift we could ask for, and that really is more than enough.

However, if you would like to mark the occasion with a gift, we would be so grateful for a contribution towards our future together — perhaps a honeymoon Nik doesn’t have to plan ;-)

Thank you, thank you. We’re so grateful.
